Phishing Scam Cyber Incidents
Cyber crimes are on the rise. During tax season, "phishing scams are common. Phishing is an attempt by an individual or group to solicit personal information from unsuspecting users. The Trust suggests that districts be on high alert for phishing scams and other unusual e-mails with unfamiliar links to websites. Any request for personally identifiable, non-public information should be verified in person or by telephone. Users should not click on links from unidentified sources.
