Trust OSHA Recordkeeping Requirement Training

The Arizona School Risk Retention Trust, Inc. (the Trust), is offering a one-day, in-person training class on OSHA recordkeeping requirements.* During this training, material will be covered using realistic examples and scenarios, with groups working together to solve problems. Attendees should expect to learn:

  •   the difference between workers’ compensation claims and OSHA recordkeeping requirements;
  •   the difference between OSHA recordkeeping and OSHA reporting;
  •   the difference between medical treatment and first aid;
  •   how OSHA defines work relatedness for recordability purposes;
  •   how to apply OSHA’s general recording criteria to individual injuries;
  •   how OSHA defines restricted work; and
  •   how to accurately complete the OSHA 300 Log and 300A Summary forms.

 *While schools are partially exempt from OSHA requirements, many districts are receiving notices from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) requiring them to keep records.

The class will be held on May 10, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Trust offices. To RSVP, please contact the Trust.
